Used controller: Siemens Simatic S7-412-2DP .
Used visualization program: Wonderware InTouch (SCADA).
1. Goal of the project
Task of the project - to perform modernization and launch of a rapeseed oil production unit at the company "Latraps" (Latvia).
2. Stages of the Project
The execution of the project can be divided into following stages:
- Formation of the technological diagram of the devices (according documentation company "Latraps");
- Development of list of devices to be managed, including necessary changes;
- Preparation of work plan;
- Algorithm of the management system work;
- PLC programming (programmable controller S7-412);
- SCADA programming (visualization using InTouch Wonderware package);
- Modernization of control cabinet
- External installation of electrical devices at the object;
- Testing of the management system at the object;
- Staff training and submission of project documentation to the Contracting authority;
- Putting into operation.
3. Production technology
Production consists of the following parts:
- equipment for loading of rape in a hopper
- raw material preparation equipment
- equipment Pres 1
- equipment Pres 2
- meal processing equipment
- oil filtration equipment
- oil saving
4. Management system
Main management system consists of:
- A) Programmable controller S7-414-2DP
- B)Computer with system of SCADA "InTouch Wonderware"
The group of devices is managed using PLC "Profibus". Internet through Router device is used to ensure remote observation and adjustment of software and operating modes.
Production processes starting with preparation of raw materials and ending with storage of oil at the warehouse can be controlled by one operator.
5. PLC software
Control software is developed on the basis of the Siemens Step7 software package. For management of the technological devices the original software (procured together with the device) is used.
Any changed to the structure of the devices (removal or addition of new devices), as well as changed to technological process (based on Contracting authority's initiative), were performed without changing the control concept, using the exiting software modules.
6. SCADĄ software
Visualization of the production process and management system is developed on the basis of the "InTouch Wonderware" software.
